Student of the Degree in Computer Engineering of the University of M\u00e1laga. He is working on the use of reinforcement learning for robot manipulation in the context of a research initiation grant of our University.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 12px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: left; margin-right: 8px;\" src=\"https:\/\/babel.isa.uma.es\/crumb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/foto_denisa_round.png\" alt=\"denisa_round\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" \/><strong>Denisa Andreea Constantinescu<\/strong>. PhD student in the Mechatronics Engineering Doctoral Programme of the University of M\u00e1laga. She is working on the parallelization of methods of decision making under uncertainty, and has applied them to the V-REP simulator of the CRUMB robot.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 12px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: left; margin-right: 8px;\" src=\"https:\/\/babel.isa.uma.es\/crumb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/manolo_round.png\" alt=\"manolo_round\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" \/><strong>Manuel Castellano Quero<\/strong>. PhD student in the Mechatronics Engineering Doctoral Programme of the University of M\u00e1laga. He is working in applying methods of Bayesian inference for sensorics. Some of its results have been implemented on CRUMB and its V-REP simulator.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 12px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: left; margin-right: 8px;\" src=\"http:\/\/babel.isa.uma.es\/crumb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/angel_round.png\" alt=\"angel_round\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" \/><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mapir.isa.uma.es\/mapirwebsite\/index.php\/people\/230-angel-martinez-tenor\" target=\"_blank\">\u00c1ngel Mart\u00ednez-Tenor<\/a><\/strong>. PhD student in the Mechatronics Engineering Doctoral Programme. He is doing research on reinforcement learning to mobile robots, particularly on generalizing it as a core component of intelligent architectures. He has applied some of his research to the CRUMB robot and its simulators.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 12px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: left; margin-right: 8px;\" src=\"https:\/\/babel.isa.uma.es\/crumb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/ivan_round.png\" alt=\"ivan_round\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" \/><strong>Iv\u00e1n Fern\u00e1ndez-Vega<\/strong>. Former student in the Master on Mechatronics Engineering of the University of M\u00e1laga. He programmed the amazing simulation of CRUMB, its sensors and actuators, in V-REP, with connection with Matlab in ROS-style, that is being used by other members of the team.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 12px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: left; margin-right: 8px;\" src=\"https:\/\/babel.isa.uma.es\/crumb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/marina_round.png\" alt=\"marina_round\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" \/><strong>Marina Aguilar-Moreno<\/strong>. Former student in the Master on Mechatronics Engineering of the University of M\u00e1laga. She programmed the likewise amazing simulation of CRUMB in ROS for her MSc Thesis, including very realistic modeling of the arm and the first kinematic model of that manipulator, not available before.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 12px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: left; margin-right: 8px;\" src=\"https:\/\/babel.isa.uma.es\/crumb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/fotovarevalo.png\" alt=\"vicente_round\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" \/><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mapir.isa.uma.es\/mapirwebsite\/index.php\/varevalo\" target=\"_blank\">Dr. Vicente Ar\u00e9valo Espejo<\/a><\/strong>. Senior researcher in the project. He works on computer vision and software for robotics, and collaborates with the research done on the CRUMB robot and the maintainance and programming of the robotic platform.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 12px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: left; margin-right: 8px;\" src=\"https:\/\/babel.isa.uma.es\/crumb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/ana_round.png\" alt=\"ana_round\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" \/><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/mapir.isa.uma.es\/mapirwebsite\/index.php\/people\/98-ana-cruz-martin\" target=\"_blank\">Dr. Ana Cruz-Mart\u00edn<\/a><\/strong>. Senior researcher in the project. She works on unit testing, equipment acquisition, and coordination of the work of the rest of the team. She also collaborates in some of the lines of research involved in the CRUMB project, with especial interests in the educational applications of the platform. She also maintains a <a href=\"http:\/\/jafma.net\/ana\/theweekendarchaeologist\/\" target=\"_blank\">blog<\/a> with a lot of interesting things (including CRUMB).<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-bottom: 12px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"float: left; margin-right: 8px;\" src=\"https:\/\/babel.isa.uma.es\/crumb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/jafma_round.png\" alt=\"jafma_round\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" \/><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.isa.uma.es\/jafma\" target=\"_blank\">Dr. Juan-Antonio Fern\u00e1ndez-Madrigal<\/a><\/strong>. Principal researcher. He tries hard to maintain the cognitive robotics line of research since more than a decade ago, and blames the whole research ecosystem when things do not go the way he wants (he is blaming most of the time).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We also wish to mention here the following people, who have contributed in one way or another:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Jes\u00fas Bonill<\/em>, the best <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uma.es\/servicio-de-investigacion\/cms\/menu\/directorio\/\" target=\"_blank\">responsible of regional projects<\/a> in the Rectorate of the University of M\u00e1laga (and part of the outside world), who provided an invaluable assistance in obtaining this fund.<\/li>\n<li><em>Rom\u00e1n Navarro<\/em>, who served as our interface with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.robotnik.es\/\" target=\"_blank\">Robotnik<\/a> (the Spanish company that offers the robotic platform) and helped in customizing the robot to our needs.<\/li>\n<li>The other researchers of the not-funded regional project TEP-2279, <em><a href=\"http:\/\/mapir.isa.uma.es\/mapirwebsite\/index.php\/cgalindo\" target=\"_blank\">Dr. Cipriano Galindo<\/a><\/em> (Systems Engineering and Automation Dpt., Higher Technical School of Computer Science) and <em>Miguel-\u00c1ngel Rando<\/em> (Assessment, Treatment and Personality Dpt., Higher School of Psichology).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Several people has collaborated or is collaborating in this project (inverse cronological order): Sergio Gonz\u00e1lez Muriel.
